David (Dom) Mulcahy is from Ardmore but now lives in Youghal. He has been playing guitar since he was 16. He is mostly self-taught, other than a small amount of lessons from bandmate Sean while he was 18 and still at school.




He met Sean in 2004 and through the love of the guitar and the music in general, they struck up a friendship. He met bandmate Tommy Collins while Sean was in another band and another friendship was formed. David didn’t meet Colin until December 2011 when he was asked to join Dirty Voodoo. Colin , Sean and David met up for a jam and have never looked back.

David has been influenced by many artists but none more than Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden. He has always had an interest in music, but primarily rock music, he grew up with it. Much to the disapproval of his secondary school music teacher. The class was asked to bring in their favourite pop CD e.g Westlife, Girls Aloud, Will Young. Apparently not Thin Lizzy’s greatest hits.

Colin Lee first started singing country at 16, he then got into musicals. He gained versatility and experience singing pop, rock and some jazz. Dirty Voodoo had heard of Colin and decided they needed a contemporary soulful singer to compliment their new blues band, Tommy Collins was brought up in Youghal and has played music from a young age. Currently working as a music teacher and trained in classical piano. He made the move to drums at the ge of 15, playing with numerous bands around Waterford and cork. Tommy joined a band at the age of 17 and made the impromptu decision to try bass guitar. This has become his main instrument and he plays a variety of styles including soul, funk, pop and rock. Only when he was introduced to fellow bandmember Sean Cudlip as he introduced to The Blues.


Sean Cudlip started playing guitar at 13 and is mostly self taught . The blues has always been the driving force behind his need to play. Not just a lead guitarist he is also talented songwriter. While dabbling in guitar driven rock and metal with other bands, he was never able to leave The Blues alone for long. He is influenced by BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Gary Moore and Joe Bonamassa to name but a few.
